Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Nursery Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the Nursery Manager and deputy nursery manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager and deputy nursery manager in supervising daily nursery activities, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to policies.
- Support the planning and implementation of engaging educational programs tailored to children's developmental needs.
- Lead and motivate a team of childcare professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by enforcing health and safety regulations consistently.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing concerns promptly.
- Oversee staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage to meet the needs of children and staff.
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and onboarding new team members.
- Ensure compliance with local childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Strong background working with children, with a solid understanding of early childhood education principles.
- Experience in childcare or nursery environments is essential; familiarity with child development stages is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team, manage multiple priorities, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Valid driving license is advantageous for transporting children or supplies if required.
- Passionate about early childhood development with a caring attitude and positive approach to teamwork.
