As part of our ambitious growth plans, we are seeking a Head of Growth, Business Development & Acquisitions to drive new client acquisition, develop strategic partnerships, and identify opportunities for business expansion through acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives.
The Role
The Head of Growth, Business Development & Acquisitions will be responsible for increasing the company's client base, developing new referral channels, managing all incoming enquiries, building strategic partnerships, and identifying acquisition opportunities within the care sector.
This is a senior growth-focused role with responsibility for delivering sustainable business growth and supporting the company's long-term expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities Client Enquiries & Conversion
- Manage and respond to all client enquiries received via telephone, email, website and referral sources.
- Ensure all enquiries receive a prompt and professional response, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Conduct initial discussions with prospective clients and their families.
- Arrange assessments and support the onboarding of new clients.
- Maximise enquiry conversion rates through effective follow-up and relationship management.
- Maintain accurate records within the company's CRM systems.
Business Development
- Develop relationships with hospitals, discharge teams, social workers, case managers, solicitors, GP surgeries and community organisations.
- Generate new referral opportunities and partnerships.
- Attend networking events and represent Dove Home Care within the community.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets.
- Work closely with the Digital Marketing Executive to maximise lead generation and conversion.
Strategic Growth
- Develop and implement growth strategies to increase care hours, revenue and market share.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and geographic growth.
- Produce monthly growth reports and recommendations for the Directors.
Business Acquisitions
- Identify and research potential acquisition opportunities within the home care and healthcare sectors.
- Build relationships with care business owners, brokers and industry contacts.
- Support acquisition discussions, negotiations and preliminary due diligence activities.
- Gather and analyse commercial, operational and financial information relating to acquisition targets.
- Present acquisition opportunities and recommendations to the Directors.
- Support integration planning and client retention following acquisitions.
Performance & Reporting
- Track enquiry volumes, conversion rates, referral sources and growth metrics.
- Achieve agreed targets relating to new clients, care hours, revenue growth and acquisition activity.
- Provide regular reports to the Directors on business development performance and growth opportunities.
Person Specification Essential
- Proven experience in business development, sales, growth management or commercial roles.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience within the home care, healthcare or social care sector.
- Knowledge of CQC-regulated services.
- Experience of mergers, acquisitions or business sales.
- Existing professional network within healthcare or social care.
- Experience using CRM and business reporting systems.

Pay: £38,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
