Duties
- Provide customised hair cutting, colouring, styling, and grooming services in accordance with client preferences and current trends
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and advise on suitable styles and treatments
- Maintain a clean, organised workstation adhering to health and safety standards
- Keep up-to-date with the latest hairdressing techniques, products, and industry developments
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business through excellent customer service
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maximise client flow and minimise wait times
- Promote retail products and additional services to enhance client experience and salon revenue
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related roles with a strong portfolio of work
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong communication skills to understand client needs and provide professional advice
- Proficiency in various hair styling techniques including cutting, colouring, perming, and finishing
- Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently
- A friendly demeanour with a passion for helping clients look and feel their best
