Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Ensure all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are strictly followed
- Clear tables promptly and assist with setting up for upcoming service periods
- Handle guest queries professionally, resolving any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as needed, supporting team operations during busy periods
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Familiarity with food preparation and basic culinary principles
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Experience in upselling bar and food menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
