About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Intumescent Site Painter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of intumescent coatings to structural steelwork on commercial, industrial, and construction projects, ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare steelwork surfaces for coating applications.
- Apply intumescent paint systems using airless spray equipment, brush, and roller techniques.
- Read and interpret coating specifications and project drawings.
- Measure and record Dry Film Thickness (DFT) readings.
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
- Conduct quality checks and maintain accurate site records.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Work collaboratively with site managers, supervisors, and other trades.
RequirementsEssential
- Proven experience applying intumescent coatings on-site.
- Ability to use airless spray equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of DFT measurement and coating inspection standards.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- IPAF certification.
- PASMA certification.
- NVQ Level 2 in Industrial Painting or equivalent.
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
