We are seeking a cheerful, confident & enthusiastic individual who has experience with a range of different animals to join our small Animal Care Team. The role is a full time, permanent role. You will be looking after a range of animals (goats, pigs, lambs, alpacas, horses, ponies, guinea pigs & chickens) including mucking out, feeding them and ensuring their welfare is kept to a high standard so experience is essential and preferably the successful candidate will also hold qualifications in animal care.
You will also be in a customer facing role will work with the paying public to lead on the animal activities therefore must be confident when working with people and be a smiley, happy, confident person.
About Us:
Our site has a cafe, soft play and a farm attraction and is open to the public as well as being situated on a working farm it also has camping for 60 days in the Summer period. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Daily care of the animals - mucking out, feeding the animals and ensuring the highest level of animal welfare.
- Greeting and welcoming members of the public and leading animal acitivities with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Supporting other areas of the business including the cafe and soft play when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with a range of different animals and ideally a qualification in animal care.
- An absolute love of animals and prepared to put there welfare at the forefront.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help both customers and team members alike.
- Have a wicked smile!
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
