Duties
- Greet patients warmly and guide them through the optical consultation process with enthusiasm
- Assist with lens measurements, frame fittings, and adjustments to ensure optimal comfort and fit
- Support the optometrists by preparing examination rooms and handling patient documentation accurately
- Provide detailed product information on lenses, frames, and accessories to help patients make informed choices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical retail area, including display setups and stock management
- Record patient details, appointments, and sales transactions meticulously for seamless clinic operationsSkills
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to the eye enhances your ability to assist patients effectively
- Excellent communication skills to explain products clearly and provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a busy environment
- Attention to detail for accurate measurements, record keeping, and product handling
- A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in eye health and patient care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, energetic approach
- Conduct OCT and fields tests as requested
Due to expansion we are looking for an enthusiastic optical assistant to join our lovely team. We are patient focused with no sales targets. Full time or part time considered. Previous experience in optics essential.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
