Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Intermediate / Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates based on project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
- Analyse project scope, specifications, and drawings to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop comprehensive proposals and budgets.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying variances promptly.
- Conduct market research to source competitive prices for materials, labour, and subcontractor services.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations, negotiating terms where appropriate.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, including compiling all necessary documentation.
- Maintain organised records of estimates, revisions, and related documentation for future reference.
- Provide mentorship to junior estimators, sharing expertise in cost control techniques and estimation processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction or engineering sectors, with a strong emphasis on cost control.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software programmes and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Pay: £44,998.42-£70,615.97 per year
