Harte Companies have more than 50 years experience in the design, manufacturing and installation of shop fittings. This role is within our woodworking business based in Ossett.
We are looking to hire a Machine Shop Operative on a permanent basis. This is suitable for candidates looking for a role in a machining department, who have ideally worked in a woodworking environment - however that is not essential. This is a busy department, and a key element of our manufacturing of a range of shop fittings for a broad range of blue chip customers.
The Role :
Machining duties; Potentially assisting with other tasks in the Machine Shop when required; Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
Experience & Attributes required:
Ability to work on own initiative with or without supervision and cope under pressure; Machining experience, ideally in woodworking but not essential; Physically fit and able to use a hand-held pallet truck; Forklift Truck Licence would be advantageous, however this is not essential; Experience using warehouse management systems and advantage.
Hours of work:
39-hour week per week; 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am – 3.15pm Friday; Overtime as and when required to meet production demand.
