Lettings Clerk
About the Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Lettings Clerk to join our busy lettings team. This is a varied role involving administration, property management, and client-facing responsibilities, acting as the key link between landlords and tenants to ensure the smooth delivery of our lettings and property management services.
This is an office-based position with regular property viewings, so a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the applicant database and CRM system
- Processing tenancy applications and offers
- Preparing and issuing tenancy renewals and related documentation
- Coordinating property maintenance and repairs
- Instructing contractors and tradespeople
- Raising and administering works orders
- Updating landlords and tenants on maintenance progress
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Conducting accompanied property viewings
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Be highly organised with excellent administrative skills
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Be confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Have a professional and courteous telephone manner
- Possess an excellent command of spoken and written English
- Be able to prioritise workloads and respond effectively to urgent matters
- Demonstrate a good understanding of customer service
Experience in lettings, estate agency, or property administration is desirable but not essential. Practical knowledge of home maintenance or household management would be an advantage.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Own vehicle available for business use
- Good knowledge of the local area
- Ideally live within a 5-mile radius of Hoddesdon

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 6:00pm (1-hour lunch)
- Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch)
- One weekday off in lieu for working Saturdays.
Salary
Competitive salary, dependent on experience and previous success within an administrative, estate agency, or lettings role.
