Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Waitress and Barista to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will be organised, personable, and passionate about delivering a memorable experience to our guests. Previous experience in barista duties or serving is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Take orders from customers accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
- Prepare a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to quality standards.
- Serve food items with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including barista stations and dining spaces.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering queries about menu items and making recommendations.
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure hygiene standards are upheld.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in barista work or hospitality is required
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and giving correct change.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
