Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator specialising in Crusher & Screener operations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining crushing and screening equipment within a quarry environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant machinery safely and efficiently to support the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring material is processed and loaded in line with operational requirements.
Duties
- Operate crusher and screener machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of machine operation, maintenance, and any incidents during shifts.
- Support with basic mechanical tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
- Monitor material flow through the crushing and screening process, adjusting settings as necessary to meet production specifications.
- Ensure the work area remains clean, organised, and free from hazards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating loading shovels or similar heavy plant.
- Experience operating crushers and screening equipment in a waste, recycling, quarrying or aggregates environment.
- Valid NPORS or CPCS Plant Operator card covering relevant plant machinery.
- Crusher and Screener Operator certification or demonstrable competency operating crushing and screening equipment.
- Good understanding of safe working practices and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late shifts depending on project needs.
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
