Job Summary
We are seeking a number of reliable Car Park Attendant to oversee the smooth operation of our parking facilities at a partner school in Islington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing vehicle movement, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an engaging environment for individuals with a passion for driving and organisational skills, contributing to the efficient management of our parking area. Previous experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or mechanical knowledge is advantageous. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting where communication skills and familiarity with flatbed vehicles are highly valued. All roles are paid and require a proactive approach to maintaining safety and order within the car park.
The role includes: weekend & sometimes evening work.
Responsibilities
- Directing vehicles into designated parking bays and ensuring efficient flow of traffic
- Assisting customers with parking queries and providing clear guidance
- Conducting routine inspections of the parking area to identify hazards or maintenance needs
- Operating commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for vehicle movement or deliveries when required
- Maintaining accurate records of vehicle entries and exits
- Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Communicating effectively with team members to coordinate activities and resolve issues promptly
- Assisting with loading or unloading goods using appropriate mechanical tools if necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics management is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance or repair is beneficial
- Experience operating flatbed lorries or similar large vehicles is desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment

Pay: £12.72-£16.27 per hour
