The Role
We're looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our transport and logistics team. This is a varied role combining transport administration with warehouse operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
You'll split your time between the transport office and warehouse, supporting the day-to-day operation by coordinating deliveries, operating equipment, loading vehicles, and ensuring freight moves safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage incoming customer calls and transport enquiries.
· Process customer orders and prepare delivery paperwork.
· Track pallet consignments and resolve delivery issues.
· Coordinate collections and deliveries with drivers.
· Maintain accurate records using company systems.
· Assist with transport planning and scheduling.
· Process invoices and general office administration.
· Operate a forklift (training and certification provided if required).
· Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
· Pick, check and prepare orders for dispatch.
· Assist with stock control and warehouse organisation.
· Carry out general warehouse duties, keeping work areas clean, safe and organised.
· Support both the office and warehouse teams wherever required.
Essential Requirements
· Full UK driving licence (essential).
· Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment.
· Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
· Able to prioritise work in a busy, fast-moving environment.
· Reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in.
· Forklift experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
