We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Caretaker to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role looking after a school, ensuring they are safe, clean, secure, and well maintained.
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can use their own initiative, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and locking sites.
- Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
- Basic plumbing, decorating, and general DIY tasks.
- Grass cutting, hedge trimming, and grounds maintenance.
- Litter picking and keeping external areas tidy.
- Conducting health and safety checks.
- Responding to maintenance issues as they arise.
- Moving furniture and setting up rooms when required.
- Ensuring sites remain safe, secure, and presentable.
- Working alongside our cleaning and maintenance teams when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Previous caretaking, maintenance, handyman, or facilities experience not essential. Full training giving
- Good practical DIY skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Friendly and professional when dealing with clients.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Full UK driving licence not essential
