Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our office, providing excellent customer service, and supporting administrative functions. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, responsible for managing appointments, handling correspondence, and maintaining efficient office workflows. Prior office experience and administrative skills are highly valued in this position.
Duties
- Greeting visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answering incoming calls and directing them appropriately
- Managing appointment schedules and calendar organisation
- Handling correspondence via email, mail, and phone
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Assisting with general administrative tasks such as data entry, photocopying, and document preparation
- Organising meetings and preparing necessary materials
- Ensuring the reception area remains tidy and welcoming
- Supporting SLT staff as required to ensure efficient office operations
- Understanding GDPR and using it within your work daily
- Reporting attendance
Experience
- Previous office experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with administrative procedures
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programmes
- Experience in customer service or front-of-house roles is advantageous
- Great understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
