Job Overview
We’re a small, family‑run logistics and fulfilment centre looking for a reliable, proactive Warehouse Shift Supervisor to lead our day‑to‑day warehouse operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close‑knit team, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. You’ll oversee shift activities, support staff, and ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities during the AM shift, ensuring smooth operations from materials handling to order fulfillment.
- Lead and manage a small team of warehouse associates, providing clear direction, training, and support to maximize productivity.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes, verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.

- Coordinate with 3PL providers to optimize logistics workflows and resolve any shipment or delivery issues promptly.
- Ensure safe lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge are applied during heavy lifting tasks; operate forklifts safely when necessary.
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of materials handling, shipping & receiving, and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory control and reporting purposes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Knowledge of 3PL operations, process improvement methodologies, and safety protocols in a warehouse setting is highly desirable.
- Driving licence would be preferable for the role.
You will be required to work every other weekend as part of your working week,
Pay: £25,420.00-£27,040.00 per year
