Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Door Installer to join our team in CT21. The successful candidate will be responsible for a mix of new installs, repairings, and maintaining fire doors in accordance with safety standards and issuing a relevant certificate.
Duties
- Install fire doors in commercial and residential buildings removing one and installing the new one on the same day to the certified requirements. Upgrading doors as per specification.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing fire door systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and specification.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, decorators, dryliners and electricians, to ensure seamless integration of the fire door.
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during installation and maintenance activities
- Read and interpret specifications while following the certified requirements of the fire door tolerances and requirements.
- Assist in materials lists of components for specialised fire door installations when required.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe throughout the project duration
Requirements
- Proven experience in fire door installation and upgrading.
- Ability to certify the works door by door as the works progresses.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to fire safety equipment is advantageous
- Relevant certifications or qualifications is a must. The works must be certified and signed off as you go via any certified fire door scheme such as BM Trada.

The hours are 8am - 4pm, any over time will be paid on an hourly basis.
Wages are paid via a time sheet/pay roll company on a self employed basis.
Pay: £250.00 per day
