I am searching for a music teacher that has experience teaching and/or tutoring children and feels confident in planning and assessing students progress. The person needs to be comfortable presenting and engaging students at all key stages; to large groups (classes up to 30) and smaller more targeted groups.

Duties
- Design and deliver comprehensive music lessons tailored to students’ age, skill level, and interests, ensuring an inclusive learning experience.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and examinations by developing appropriate practice routines and providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and active participation.
- Assess student progress regularly through evaluations, recordings, and performance reviews; maintain detailed records of achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music programs with broader curricula and school activities.
- Organize extracurricular activities such as choir rehearsals, band practices, or musical workshops to enhance student engagement.
- Maintain and care for musical instruments and equipment; ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities.
- Stay informed about current trends in music education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching music at various educational levels or equivalent professional experience in music performance or education.
- Strong proficiency in at least one instrument or vocal training; additional skills in conducting or composing are advantageous.
- Knowledge of music theory, history, and diverse musical styles across cultures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to develop creative lesson plans that meet curriculum standards while fostering individual artistic expression.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in music education methodologies.
- A relevant degree or certification in Music Education, Music Performance, or related fields is preferred.
