We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Bank Complex Care Assistants to join our team and provide person-centred support to our female client in Tameside.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality care within the client's own home, promoting her comfort, dignity, independence and wellbeing. You will support her with a range of complex care needs while following her personalised care plan, risk assessments and clinical guidance. This role requires professionalism, patience and a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate care.
Please note: This recruitment is specifically for a contract supporting our client in Tameside. Successful applicants will be employed to work on this package of care.
As this is a Bank position, you may be required to work any of the following shifts, depending on service needs and your availability:
Day Shifts
7:00 am – 3:00 pm
7:00 am – 6:00 pm
4:00 pm – 12:00 midnight
Night Shift: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
Responsibilities
· Deliver high-quality, person-centred care within the client's home, promoting dignity, choice and independence.
· Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming and maintaining personal hygiene.
· Support the client with stoma care, catheter care, and bowel management, including bowel evacuation, in accordance with the care plan and clinical guidance.
· Safely assist with mobility and transfers using hoists and other moving and handling equipment, following safe working practices.
· Administer medication and complete clinical observations as required, reporting any concerns promptly.
· Support the client with nutrition, hydration and meal preparation in line with dietary requirements.
· Monitor the client's physical and emotional wellbeing, recognising and responding appropriately to changes in condition.
· Build and maintain a positive, respectful and professional relationship with the client while promoting her independence, dignity and personal choices.
· Support the client to manage daily living activities, appointments and community access where required.
· Implement and follow individual care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
· Respond calmly and professionally to behaviours of concern, using positive behaviour support techniques and de-escalation strategies.
· Maintain accurate, timely and confidential care records, reporting incidents and changes in condition in line with organisational procedures.
· Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
· Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment, adhering to infection prevention, health and safety, safeguarding and moving and handling procedures.
· Respect the client's mental capacity, rights, privacy and preferences, supporting her to make informed decisions about her care wherever possible.
Skills required:
- Use of care management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Previous experience supporting adults with complex care needs in a home or community setting.
- Competent in administering medication and accurately recording care using electronic care management systems.
- Experience using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and de-escalation techniques to respond appropriately to behaviours of concern.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional, respectful and trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Requirements for the Bank Care Assistant:
- Must live in Tameside or within a reasonable travelling distance.
· Have a genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centred care.
· Be reliable, compassionate and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Hold a valid Right to Work in the UK.
· Hold a full UK driving licence (desirable).
