The Role
We are seeking an experienced and organised Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of flour, bakery ingredients, and other food products while maintaining high standards of safety, stock accuracy, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the warehouse team.
- Ensure accurate inventory control and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
- Plan staffing levels and warehouse workflows to meet operational demands.
- Monitor warehouse performance and implement continuous improvements.
- Work closely with purchasing, sales, and transport teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Manage warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance where required.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
About You
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager or Senior Warehouse Supervisor.
- Experience within food wholesale, food distribution is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
- Understanding of food safety and health & safety regulations.
- Forklift licence
