Predator Marine Limited is expanding and is looking for experienced, motivated and safety-focused Vessel Masters (Skippers) to join our professional marine operations team.
We operate a modern fleet supporting a wide range of commercial marine projects throughout the UK, including:
- Survey Support
- Offshore Wind Support
- Crew Transfer
- Safety Boat Operations
- USV Support
- Dive Support
- Marine Construction Support

The Role
As Vessel Master you will be responsible for the safe operation of company vessels while leading the crew and delivering projects safely, efficiently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Safe command and navigation of company vessels.
- Voyage planning and execution.
- Leading and supervising crew members.
- Maintaining compliance with MCA regulations and company procedures.
- Daily vessel inspections and maintenance reporting.
- Working closely with clients and project managers.
- Promoting the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold:
- ✅ RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Commercially Endorsed) or equivalent
- ✅ Valid ENG1 Medical
- ✅ First Aid at Sea STCW
- ✅ Fire Fighting STCW
- ✅ Personal Survival Techniques (PST) STCW
- ✅ Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR) STCW
- ✅ Small Ships Navigation & Radar
- ✅ Small Ships Radar & Meteorology
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- AEC1 (Approved Engine Course 1)
- Workboat, survey vessel, offshore wind, CTV or other commercial marine experience
- Waterjet propulsion experience (Hamilton or similar)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Flexible approach with the ability to work away when required

Location
Based in Lowestoft, Suffolk, with travel throughout the UK depending on project requirements.
