We are seeking a dedicated and professional Optical Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic optical practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming environment and guiding them through appointment procedures.
- Manage the reception area efficiently, including scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with optical measurements and basic frame adjustments under supervision, ensuring precision and patient comfort.
- Support optical technicians with laboratory tasks such as lens ordering, processing, and quality control to ensure timely delivery of spectacles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and optical laboratory to uphold hygiene standards.
- Provide information about optical products, services, and aftercare to enhance patient understanding and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth workflow between reception duties and optical services, contributing to overall practice efficiency.
Experience
- Prior experience in an optical practice or healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Laboratory experience related to lens processing or optical equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy relevant to eye health will support effective communication with patients and team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Familiarity with optical software systems or appointment management tools is advantageous.
