Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Vehicle Purchaser/Buyer to join our procurement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring vehicles that meet our company's specifications and standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills, familiarity with Auction buying and main dealer enterprises. and a comprehensive understanding of cap valuation prices processe. The ideal applicant will have experience working with internal portal dashboard systems. alongside a solid background in merchandising and procurement.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential vehicle suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company standards.
- Negotiate purchase terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier communications, and inventory levels within relevant ERP platforms.
- Collaborate with internal departments including merchandising and logistics teams to align purchasing strategies with organisational needs.
- Monitor market trends and vehicle pricing to optimise purchasing decisions.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in vehicle purchasing or procurement within a corporate environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms.
- Knowledge of logistics, supply chain management, and merchandising practices.
- Familiarity with procurement processes within logistics or automotive sectors is advantageous.
- Organised with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively across departments.
