Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Warehouse Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient handling of materials, and maintaining a safe and organised environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and experience in warehouse activities. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in logistics and inventory management within a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials transfer, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
- Managing shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of stock
- Operating warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and stock movements.
- Stocking shelves and organising storage areas for optimal accessibility and safety
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times during warehouse activities
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for all operational procedures
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques, including the use of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems or similar software is desirable
- Experience with shipping & receiving processes, picking & packing, and stock management is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
- Proven organisational skills with attention to detail in stock control and quality assurance processes
