TRAINEE PIZZA CHEF
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in Whitley Bay working on a flexible 30 to 35 hour per week basis.
Trainee Pizza Chef required for Di Meo's in Whitley Bay . Working closely with the head chef and other Pizza Chef's, you will be learning how to cook traditional Italian pizza form scratch. The right candidate will also be given the opportunity to work in the main kitchen preparing authentic pasta dishes when required with plenty of room to grow within the role as the business progresses.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate good kitchen and hygiene knowledge and be passionate about food.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chef looking to develop their career working with fresh, seasonal food in a lovely environment.
Responsibilities
- We will teach you how to create the perfect Pizza dough from start to finish.
- We will teach you hand stretched dough techniques and stone baked Pizza oven management.
- We will also teach you how to create authentic Italian pasta dishes.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Be keen to learn new Kitchen Management Skills.
- Must be passionate about food and have the ability to work under pressure.
- Must be able to interact with customers to deliver a great standard of service
- Candidate must Implement excellent health, safety and hygiene standards
- Good time management and team spirit.

Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols is advantageous
- Experience in serving customers or working within a busy hospitality environment is beneficial
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new skills in pizza making and kitchen operations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A positive attitude and team-oriented approach are essential for success in this role
