Farm Shop Counter Assistant - Please note that no seasonal applications will be considered as this is a permanent role.
Job Pattern 1:
25hours per week, Monday and Friday 8am - 1pm, Tuesday and Saturday 10am - 6pm.
Job Pattern 2:
22.5hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8am-1pm, Sunday 10am - 6pm.
We’re looking for two friendly and reliable Counter Assistants to join our busy Farm Shop team. You’ll be serving customers with freshly prepared foods, keeping displays stocked and appealing, and ensuring excellent service every time.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serving customers from our cooked meat, deli and bakery counters with a warm, professional manner
- Slicing and preparing meats to order
- Assisting with cooking off pastries (please note this side does involve some heavy lifting)
- Maintaining attractive and well-stocked displays
- Stocking up of the fridges, ensuring products are labelled correctly and date rotated
- Ensuring the counter and work areas meet high food safety and hygiene standards
- Assisting with stock rotation and labelling
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Previous deli or counter experience is helpful, but full training will be given
- Flexibility to work later during peak seasonal periods
