Experienced Vehicle Technician
Champion Motor Company is looking for an experienced and qualified Vehicle Technician to join our team.
This position is only suitable for applicants with a recognised vehicle technician qualification and a minimum of three years’ relevant experience. Please do not apply if you do not meet these requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming vehicles and produce accurate preparation and repair lists
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Complete servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Identify problems and determine the correct repair independently
- Complete work efficiently and within a reasonable timeframe
- Maintain a consistently high standard of workmanship
- Keep the workshop and working areas clean, organised and safe
- Communicate clearly regarding faults, required parts and job progress
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Recognised vehicle technician or motor vehicle qualification
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to manage workload and complete jobs efficiently
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Available to work Saturday mornings as standard, particularly to complete outstanding work following a busy week
- Full UK driving licence
