This is an exciting time to join one of North Devon's biggest employers working in the Faculty of Construction, Engineering and Motor Vehicle to secure short work placements for our 16-19 fulltime construction learners, delivering skilled construction workers is a national priority and at the heart of our offer, is supporting learners to complete a short placement that prepares them for the world of work.
You will be based in our Construction faculty and will work closely with our curriculum team to secure placements, prepare learners and support them through to successful completion. You will also form part of a wider team of Industry Placement Liaison Officers (IPLOs) who work across college in similar roles.
You’ll need to be passionate about securing inspiring work placements that prepare learners for the world of work. Together with the curriculum team, you’ll support employers and learners whilst on placement and ensure that all learners successfully complete their placements as part of their core curriculum study.
You’ll be great at using your initiative, will have a positive, can-do attitude, and will be able to communicate effectively with people from all backgrounds. You will be working towards placement targets and will have the opportunity to earn a 20% bonus at the end of the academic year. This role will suit someone who’s brilliant at influencing and persuading potential employers to work in partnership with the College.
