We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our vibrant team. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable experience. Your ability to provide excellent service, coupled with your knowledge of food and beverage safety and culinary practices, will contribute to the overall success of our Bistro.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all orders are correct and meet the restaurant's quality standards.
- Prepare and serve beverages
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including setting up tables and clearing away used dishes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of meals.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve any issues effectively.
- Manage time efficiently during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Restaurant or Bar environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Strong understanding of food and beverage safety practices and culinary knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and processing bills accurately.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
