Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team on a 22 hour per week contract, with every other weekend working. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals within a care home setting. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, and medication management.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow individual care plans meticulously to meet the specific needs of each client.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Every other weekend working essential.
