Band & Salary: Band 3C, £55,596 - £67,813.

From the day-to-day IT operations that keeps a national railway running, to the extensive delivery programmes that our helping to reshape the railway - we are at the forefront of all of it. Provide professional health and safety advice and support to the Telecoms Function, Telecoms Delivery projects and commercial teams , coordinate the relevant Telecoms Operations activities and to facilitate compliance with the Network Rail Health and Safety Management System and all relevant legal, industry and company standards.
- Provide expert health, safety and environmental (HSE) advice, guidance and support to Telecoms project teams and functional stakeholders, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organisational requirements.
- Act as the lead health and safety specialist for Telecoms projects, directing and supporting project teams to embed a strong safety culture and achieve high standards of performance.
- Build effective relationships with contractors and delivery partners, leading regular safety forums to share best practice, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project teams in monitoring, inspecting and reviewing safety and environmental performance, ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to occupational health, construction safety and environmental management across the Telecoms portfolio.
- Collaborate across the Telecoms function to identify, develop and implement practical solutions that drive improvements in health, safety and environmental performance.
- Lead accident, incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and recommendations are implemented effectively to prevent recurrence.
- Act as the primary point of contact for HMRI, regulatory bodies and other health and safety organisations, representing Telecoms projects on all day-to-day safety-related matters.
- Work closely with the Route Services SHEQ team to ensure all Level 2 safety assurance activities are completed effectively, accurately recorded and aligned with company standards.
- Lead the identification, assessment and management of safety risks across the Telecoms function and delivery projects, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to protect people, assets and operations.

Essential
- NEBOSH Construction certificate.
- NEBOSH Tech SP certificate.
- Significant experience in the successful management of HSEA issues on major programmes of work in the construction and//or rail industries.
- Project Safety Management course.
- Designated Competence Person (DCP) investigation experience and competency
- Lead Investigator competency
