Job Description
Due to workload we are looking for an additional time served sheet metal worker with experience of working with predominately stainless steel. No Agencies Please.
You will have:
- Time served Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator (4 year apprenticeship completed)
- Experience of Welding Stainless Steel and Fabricating.
- Ability to work from drawings.
- Have experience in thin gauge materials
- Be able to measure and cut materials accurately.
- Experience in using guillotine and other metal fabrication machinery.
- Work as part of a team.
- Possess excellent communication skills and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask.
Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- To carry out all welding operations and fabricate as required (stainless steel)
- Grinding and polishing of work
- Fabricating from drawings
- Working on stainless steel products/sheet metal
- Must be able to weld thin gauge material ranging from 1.2mm to 10mm
- To be available for some evening and weekend work when the business requires with notice.
- Driving Company Vehicles to and from Customers/ Suppliers
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace and reporting any faults/hazards, in accordance with Company Health and Safety requirement
Food industry knowledge would be to an advantage but not essential as experience will be gained over time.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
