Skilled Butcher Wanted – Join a Passionate Artisan Team (SE21, London)
Are you an experienced butcher with a passion for quality produce and traditional craftsmanship? We’re looking for a talented professional to join our friendly, close-knit team in a well-established English retail butcher’s shop.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position working with whole carcass meat, where your expertise will truly shine. You’ll be involved in the full process—from breaking down carcasses to preparing high-quality cuts ready for sale. Your skills, attention to detail, and pride in your craft will be essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Breaking down and preparing whole carcasses (beef, lamb, pork)
- Working with poultry and seasonal game
- Producing retail-ready cuts to a high standard
- Delivering excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the shop
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a butcher in an English retail environment
- Confidence working with whole carcasses
- Strong knife skills and product knowledge
- A team player with a positive, professional attitude
- Someone who takes pride in quality and presentation
Location
You’ll need to live locally or be able to easily commute to SE21, London.
Working Hours
- 44 hours per week
- 4½ days out of 6 (Tuesday–Sunday)
- Closed Mondays – enjoy a guaranteed day off to start your week
