Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Factory Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe working environment within our manufacturing facility. This role involves the use of a motorised floor sweeper and some general 'tidying up' as well as the baling of paper.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Use the sweeper to assist with cleaning tasks and ensure it is emptied and charged.
- Remove waste materials and organise storage areas to promote a tidy workspace
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of cleaning equipment and supplies
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or hazards
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management promptly
- Support other team members as required to uphold cleanliness standards across the facility
Skills
- Basic knowledge of working in an industrial environment is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks throughout shifts
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cleaning techniques and safety procedures

Hours of Work
The role is for three hours per day, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm. We are open to flexibility on the hours to suit the successful applicant.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
