We're looking for a passionate and experienced Cook to join our team at Church Farm at Skylarks, our specialist nursing home in West Bridgford. Following a major extension project, you'll work in a newly installed, modern kitchen, leading the delivery of high-quality meals that make a genuine difference to our residents' wellbeing every day.

What You'll Be Doing
As Cook, you'll take the lead in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents while managing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals to a high standard
- Creating varied and balanced menus that cater for individual preferences and dietary requirements
- Ensuring specialist diets and IDDSI-compliant meals are prepared safely and correctly
- Leading and supporting the kitchen team
- Managing stock levels, ordering and budget control
- Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Completing kitchen records, audits and compliance checks
- Working closely with residents and colleagues to ensure meal quality and satisfaction
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about preparing high-quality food
- Organised and able to manage a busy kitchen environment
- Experienced in leading or supervising a team
- Committed to excellent food hygiene and safety standards
- Caring, positive and respectful in their approach to older people
Essential Knowledge & Qualifications
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent)
- Good understanding of food safety and COSHH requirements
- Knowledge of nutritional needs for older people
- Understanding of modified and texture-modified diets (IDDSI)
