Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our team on weekends, supporting the daily operations of our agricultural and livestock facilities. This role involves performing essential tasks related to crop cultivation, animal care, equipment maintenance, and general farm upkeep. The ideal candidate will be proactive, physically capable, and eager to contribute to a productive and sustainable farm environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on agricultural work and gaining practical experience in horticulture and farm management.
Pay
£12.71 per hour, paid weekly - £3.48 per hour additional for unsociable hours (nights and weekends)
Hours
Saturday and Sunday 07:30-16:00
Responsibilities
- Caring for bird welfare, including feeding and monitoring flock well being
- Working in poultry houses: walking sheds, laying shavings, handling chickens
- Collecting, screening, and packing eggs, including paperwork completion
- General farm duties (e.g. ground maintenance, equipment use)
Experience
- Previous experience working on a farm or in an agricultural setting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring inputs or calculating quantities related to farm activities.
- Experience with animal care or livestock management is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols and detail-oriented approach.
