Job Overview
This is a full-time role at 39 hours per week, based at Norwich Airport, for a Finance Assistant.
The main scope of this position involves carrying out the company’s credit control function, assisting with purchase ledger, and maintaining vehicle maintenance records, together with providing administrative support to the wider Finance team.
This role requires an individual who can work quickly, accurately and efficiently and communicate with suppliers, customers and other airport staff via email and telephone.
Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Credit control:
- Posting bank receipts from customers into accounting software
- Maintaining list of outstanding debts
- Sending statements to customers
- Ensuring customers pay on time and chasing overdue debts by email or telephone
- Reconciling customer accounts and resolving disputes
- Reporting to management weekly on outstanding balance.
- Assisting with purchase ledger:
- Updating the purchase order database with order details
- Posting purchase invoices to the purchase ledger
- Marking invoices as approved for payment
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Liaising with suppliers over queries
- Raising payments
- Maintaining the company’s vehicle maintenance records on Blue Crystal software.
- AODB System data entry & reporting
- Provide administrative and accounting support as necessary to the Finance Team e.g.
- Collecting & distributing post
- Collecting and entering data in financial spreadsheets
- Monitoring, sorting, distributing & filing emails
- Scanning
- Filing
- Adhere to the company’s financial policies and procedures, and always maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information
Pay: £25,775.88-£29,304.60 per year
