Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 excavator operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist with various excavation and site preparation tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, experience with excavators, and the ability to operate commercial vehicles as needed. The ideal applicant will demonstrate safety consciousness, efficiency, and professionalism on-site.
Responsibilities
- Operate 360-degree excavators safely and efficiently across diverse construction sites
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with site clearance, digging, trenching, and material handling tasks
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans accurately and within deadlines
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times to minimise risks and ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any equipment issues promptly
- Support other construction activities as required, including manoeuvring lorries or other vehicles on-site
Experience
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform minor repairs
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) or equivalent is desirable
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to heavy machinery operation
- Prior experience working on diverse construction projects is advantageous
