La Velvetta Steakhouse – Doncaster
La Velvetta Steakhouse is looking for an experienced Mixologist to join our team and help deliver an exceptional bar experience for our guests.
This is a role for a skilled and experienced bartender/mixologist only. We are looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, has strong cocktail-making skills and understands the standards expected in a busy, high-quality steakhouse environment.
Please note: applicants without previous professional bartending/mixology experience will not be considered.
The Role
As our Mixologist, you will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality cocktails, drinks and service while maintaining a professional, welcoming and organised bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality cocktails, classic drinks and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Demonstrate strong cocktail-making and mixology skills.
- Maintain consistency, presentation and quality across all drinks.
- Work confidently and efficiently during busy service periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar at all times.
- Ensure bar equipment and glassware are properly maintained.
- Follow responsible alcohol service and food safety standards.
- Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to our guests.
- Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Help maintain the high standards and reputation of La Velvetta Steakhouse.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous professional bartending/mixology experience is essential.
- Strong cocktail-making skills and knowledge of classic cocktails.
- Confidence working in a busy, high-pressure hospitality environment.
- Excellent knowledge of spirits, cocktails and bar service.
- Strong attention to detail, presentation and consistency.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy service periods.
