Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a HIAB-equipped recovery truck to lift and transport vehicles safely
- Respond to roadside recovery requests, auction collections, trade deliveries, and accident scenes
- Carry out vehicle collections and drop-offs in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure all equipment is used correctly and maintained to a safe standard
- Complete job sheets, collection notes, and relevant paperwork accurately
- Maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism
- Comply with health and safety standards and relevant road transport regulations
- Perform pre-use vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Work flexibly, including some weekends or evenings when required
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence with relevant categories (e.g. Class 2 / Category C preferred)
- Valid HIAB certificate (Loader Crane / Lorry Loader)
- Experience operating HIAB cranes and handling vehicle recoveries
- Strong knowledge of local and national road networks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads safely
- CPC qualification
- Tacho card
