To plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of meaningful, enjoyable and person-centred activities that promote the wellbeing, independence, social interaction and quality of life of residents.
The Activities Co-ordinator will ensure that activities reflect residents' individual interests, abilities, cultural backgrounds, life experiences and personal choices, while creating opportunities for residents to participate at their own pace.
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of daily and weekly activities.
- Provide activities that support physical, emotional, social, cognitive and spiritual wellbeing.
- Develop individual activities based on residents' hobbies, interests, life histories and preferences.
- Encourage residents to participate without pressuring those who choose not to.

Skills & Experience Essential
- Experience of working with older people or within a care environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative, enthusiastic and organised.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patient, compassionate and approachable.
- Understanding of person-centred care.
- Able to adapt activities to different abilities and interests.
Documentation & Evaluation
- Maintain accurate records of activities offered and resident participation.
- Record residents' responses, preferences and achievements.
- Contribute relevant information to residents' care plans and reviews.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities programme to ensure it continues to meet residents' needs.
- Report any concerns regarding residents' wellbeing, mood, behaviour or engagement to the appropriate senior member of staff.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
