Who we are looking for:
We are looking to hire a Senior User Researcher to help advocate for users across a wide range of policy, digital product and service design projects ensuring design decisions are empathetic and evidence driven.
Working within an agile environment you will be responsible for designing and conducting user research and influencing strategy.
Day to day this will include working closely with stakeholders and multi-disciplinary team members, creating research plans using both qualitative and quantitative methods in-line with organisational objectives, iterating research hypotheses, managing all related documentation, and working empathetically with users to understand their needs.
Skills required to successfully apply:
Establishing and championing ResearchOps standards, including privacy and consent documentation and knowledge management
Experience planning and conducting user research using a range of qualitative and quantitative methods, including interviewing, running workshops and surveys.
Ability to select appropriate research methods based on research objectives.
Planning and commissioning research recruitment independently, including developing strategies to reach seldom-heard groups
Advocating for user research with stakeholders and aligning research plans and findings to organisational priorities.
Experience synthesising evidence from multiple sources into clear, actionable recommendations.
Experience working in an agile environment and in multidisciplinary teams
Strong experience conducting research with diverse users, including on complex or sensitive topics.
Ability to tailor communication styles to different audiences and communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
A commitment to user-centred design, evidence-based decision making, inclusivity and accessibility.
