Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paint or wallpaper.
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and clarify project requirements.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, scaffolding, and ladders safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean work area by disposing of waste materials responsibly and ensuring tools are stored properly after each task.
- Drive company vehicles as needed to transport supplies or reach job sites promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English to understand instructions clearly and interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Valid driving license with the ability to operate vehicles safely across different locations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working at heights, handling chemicals, and operating power tools.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for precision in color matching, surface preparation, and finishing touches.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while meeting deadlines.
