We are a small, friendly team responsible for a young man in his 30s who requires 24/7 support and we seek dedicated, nurturing individuals to join us and provide excellent care on a two-to-one basis.
As the care of the individual is at the centre of everything you will do, it is important that you have the ability to follow his documented routines/procedures to ensure the continuity of his care 24/7.
It is imperative that his personal hygiene and the cleanliness of his environment is maintained throughout the day, alongside his laundry, meal preparation and feeding, and intense interaction and play.
Due to the nature of his needs, he does not tend to go out into public places but enjoys the large interior space he has within his home and all the surrounding greenery outdoors.
On a personal level, when calm he has a loving nature, however he can become hyperactive and unpredictable, so you will need to remain alert and adapt as required.
We offer an easy-going working environment providing our team members with their own seating area, kitchenette, bedroom, and shower room. We operate a monthly rota system and shifts will be a mix of days, nights (sleeping or waking) and weekends.
Previous experience is preferred, but if you lack the expertise but can demonstrate the qualities that we are looking for, full training will be given.
If you are caring, patient, friendly, confident, reliable, responsible and have a good sense of humour then we would like to hear from you.
The role would be based in the FY8 (Lytham) area.
Please include a mobile telephone number, as we conduct a brief informal chat prior to arranging a face-to-face interview.
