You should be familiar with the theory of plasma surface engineering for thin film growth.
Responsibilities will include writing refereed publications, managing parts of multi-partner international projects, advising PhD students, teaching and delivering presentations at international conferences.
The candidate will run EPSRC-funded project and several industrial research projects. The project focuses on the development of antimicrobial thin films using High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering in combination with plasma-induced patterning, and coatings for harsh environments.
The candidate will:
- have relevant postgraduate experience in a research environment,
- have the ability to operate without close supervision in designing and performing experiments and writing refereed journal publications
