As part of our expansion, we are looking for a compassionate and experienced Home Visit Private Dentist to deliver high-quality domiciliary dental care to patients who are unable to attend a dental practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys flexible working while making a meaningful difference to vulnerable patients across London and nearby areas.
The Role
As a Home Visit Private Dentist, you will provide professional dental care to patients in their own homes, residential care homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other community settings. Your patients may include elderly individuals, children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), post-surgical patients, and those with limited mobility or complex medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality domiciliary dental care in patients' homes and community settings.
- Assess, diagnose, and deliver appropriate dental treatment.
- Provide emergency, preventive, and routine private dental care.
- Deliver compassionate care to elderly, medically compromised, and vulnerable patients.
- Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Provide follow-up and maintenance care for post-surgical patients.
- Promote preventative dentistry and oral health education.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GDC standards, CQC regulations, cross-infection protocols, and safeguarding policies.
- Liaise effectively with carers, family members, care home staff, and other healthcare professionals.
RequirementsEssential
- BDS (or equivalent recognised dental qualification).
- Current GDC registration with a licence to practise.
- Valid professional indemnity insurance.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and surrounding areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centred approach with the ability to work independently.
Desirable
- Experience in domiciliary, community, special care, paediatric, or geriatric dentistry.
- Experience treating patients with complex medical conditions or additional needs.
- Sedation experience (advantageous but not essential).
