We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and growing team. Your Role
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you'll play an important role in creating positive experiences for children every day. Working alongside room leaders and the wider nursery team, you'll help plan and deliver activities that are fun, engaging and educational.
You'll observe and support children's development, build meaningful relationships with families and contribute to an environment where children feel confident, valued and excited to come to nursery.
You'll also have the opportunity to support apprentices as they develop their childcare skills, sharing your knowledge and helping the next generation of early years professionals grow in confidence.
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you'll be expected to promote and protect children's safety, health, wellbeing and nutritional needs at all times.
A relevant Level 3 Early Years Practitioner / Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent) is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can flourish.
- Observing, assessing and supporting children's individual learning and development.
- Maintaining accurate observations, records and developmental information.
- Planning and delivering exciting activities in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Building trusting and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and families.
- Supporting inclusion and promoting positive practice for children with additional needs.
- Safeguarding children and promoting their health, wellbeing and nutritional needs.
- Working closely with colleagues, room leaders and relevant external professionals.
- Supporting apprentices and contributing to a positive learning environment for colleagues.
- Taking part in training, supervision, appraisals and continued professional development.
- Following all nursery policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
What We're Looking For
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner you will need:
- A recognised Level 3 Early Years Practitioner / Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in an early years or nursery setting.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- An understanding of Ofsted requirements and expectations.
- Current knowledge of child development and effective early years practice.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs is desirable.
- A professional approach to confidentiality, teamwork and communication.
- A genuine passion for helping children learn, develop and reach their potential.
