Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of the Preschool playroom.
The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for fostering a safe, engaging learning environment compliant with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's early learning experiences while working within a supportive team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, supervise and mentor staff.
- Support the professional development of team members through mentorship and guidance.
- Ensure healthy and safety stanmdards are met.
- Esnure the preschoolers well-being and developmental needs are met.
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play.
- Structure the daily routines, manage resources and track childrens progress
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, and identify any concerns.
- Communicate developmental updates and build trusting relationships with parents/carers.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that promoted diversity and encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills among children.
Requirements
- Management and leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience working with children in nursery or preschool environments.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent are preferred.
- Passionate about nurturing young children's growth and learning in a safe environment.
- Organised, reliable and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Having your own transport is essential.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
