We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver and Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting white goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly for transit.
- Deliver products to customers at specified locations, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen issues.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs and receipts.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties such as heavy lifting when required.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
- Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car or lorry).
- Experience with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
